The Letters of John 1, 2, 3 John How can you know if you have fellowship with God? January - June, August 2010
Fellowship seems to be a popular topic in churches these days. We want to belong, to be part of a community, to be loved and cared for. But is that all there is to fellowship? Does it only exist on a horizontal plane? Is there a vertical dimension as well? Do these two dimensions exist separately from one another, or does one affect the other?
In the three letters that John wrote (1, 2, 3 John), the author describes what true fellowship is and how we can attain it. He provides us with "A barometer of fellowship" that helps us measure the nature and depth of our fellowship, both with God and with other followers of Jesus.
